I know this is old news, but I feel that his extraordinary piece in the New York Times was indicative of the level of distortion in American politics. When one of the richest men demands more taxes (for him and his fellow billionaires) in a time of crisis, while the democratically elected politicians refuse to do so, it shouldn’t go unnoticed.
David Pakman contrasts the isolated call by Buffet against the more extended among his French colleagues and their different attitude vis à vis the Welfare State and the share they should take in the effort to overcome the crisis. If you want to preserve the Capitalist system, of course.
