Hollman Morris, a Colombian independent investigative journalist and TV producer, was denied a visa to attend Harvard U for supposed ties with the FARC guerillas, according to the Patriot Act. Those ties never were probed but just claimed by the rightist government of Uribe, who’s links with the Death Squads Morris used to expose. The case was so feeble that even columnists unsuspected of leftist inclinations protested the reject. Now it seems the extended criticism from human rights and academic groups succeed in the reversal of this dull decision.
